Biography
Hannah Kane is a UK-based fashion and culture writer, lecturer, and fashion marketing and branding consultant.
She is employed as a Lecturer in Fashion Marketing at the London College of Fashion (LCF), University of the Arts London, where she teaches across postgraduate degrees, including a Master of Strategic Fashion Marketing (MA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is the Unit Leader for multiple marketing communications based units, integrating aspects of brand management and consumer behaviour.
As a research writer, she specialises in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, extended reality, gamification and virtual brand spaces, among others.
She worked as a freelance journalist for a variety of print, digital and broadcast clients before moving into editing magazines. In 2010 she co-founded and shortly after led the style, culture, and philosophy magazine PHOENIX. These areas remain a critical aspect of her writing.
Her latest book The Style Thesaurus is out (launched October 2023) on the Laurence King imprint of Hachette UK and has since been translated into French, Italian, and Chinese. Her next book will be published in Autumn/Winter 2025.
Under her creative content agency Hack Media she consults in marketing communications and produces editorial-style video and still photography content for use across multiple touchpoints.
She is a regular speaker at industry events.
